Polish proverbs
A project for a series of typographic posters for Polish proverbs and idioms. For my project, I chose six specific expressions, the meaning of which was conveyed using typographic elements:
Actions speak louder than words.
PL: Czyny mówią więcej niż słowa.
RU: Судят не по словам, а по делам.
Meaning: This is a very positive term because it indicates a person who is active, very energetic, enjoys life, is optimistic, and is simply a valuable person in the company.
PL: Żywe srebro.
RU: Это очень положительный термин, поскольку он указывает на человека активного, очень энергичного, наслаждающегося жизнью, оптимистичного и просто ценного человека в компании. (Обозначение).
Make a mountain out of a molehill.
PL: Robić z igły widły.
RU: Делать из мухи слона.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
PL: Upiec dwie pieczenie na jednym ogniu.
RU: Усидеть на двух стульях.
It's better late than never.
PL: Lepiej późno niż wcale.
RU: Лучше поздно, чем никогда.
The chain is no longer than its weakest link.
PL: Gdzie cienko, tam się rwie.
RU: Где тонко, там и рвется.
